Event: SAG SUN HEALING Lemonade Social

On a scorching September 26th, 2021, Collective member Jenna hosted a beautiful, energy-aligning lemonade social. Everyone was greeted by a beautiful garden full of colorful flowers, crystals, and bees. Jenna was extremely welcoming, showing newcomers around to the crystals table, the music, tea-making table, the “readings” table, a chubby bunny jewels cameo, and the lemonade and cookies table.

The crystals table was engorged in a variety of different crystals, each having its own story to tell. I remember being drawn to a particular crystal called hourglass selenite, as there was a large quantity of them that were free on the table in the bucket. They are crystallized salt with clay and mud in the middle. Jenna spoke about how she and her boyfriend dug them up themselves in Jet, Oklahoma, the only place in the world where they grow.

I found that the tea-making table was such a wonderful add-on to the event. It’s not every day that you’re able to make your own tea for half of the price you get from the convenience store. Provided were herbs such as lemon verbena, lemongrass, marjoram, chamomile, and the classic—green tea. Teabags were also provided on the table for everyone’s enjoyment.

Then, there was the tarot reading table.  Dorii was one of the best readers I have come across, and the way she connected with people during these readings was remarkable. She took her time with these readings and really put the “healing” in SAGSUNHEALING.

And don’t get me started on the lemonade table. I only expected lemonade and tea making, but I was very surprised to see that there were a variety of cookies. The lemonade had the perfect amount of sugar in it too, quenching the thirst of many, including myself. Overall, it was an amazing event in one of the most beautiful gardens in the Champaign-Urbana area. The social bees flying around the garden, I’m sure, enjoyed such a healing event too.
